Resurfacing works to reduce the noise coming from the A483 Ruabon bypass will begin next week.
The works will commence on the 2nd March for a period of 6 weeks dependant upon weather.
The North Wales Trunk Road Agency, on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government, have awarded a contract to Jones Bros Ruthin (Civil Engineering) Co Ltd for the resurfacing of Ruabon Bypass (Phase 1) from Ruabon Interchange (J1) to Johnstown Interchange (J2). The works will provide a wearing course with low noise properties.
Continuous lane closures and contraflow traffic management systems will be required for the duration of the works. Slip roads will be stopped up as and when required and will be indicated by advanced warning signs.
Delays are likely and drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to follow the signed diversionary routes. Alternative routes will be in place for vehicles over 3.25m in width.
A mandatory 40mph speed limit will be enforced for the duration of the works.
The North Wales Trunk Road Agency and the Welsh Assembly Government regret the inconvenience which will be caused to the travelling public whilst these essential works are being implemented.
