The works comprise the replacement of failed waterproofing and renewal of defective deck joints and road surfacing. The works also involve the construction of crossovers to facilitate contraflow traffic management required for the bridge works.
It is proposed that from week commencing 20 July the North bridge will be closed with the Plas Coch Interchange operating under a contraflow traffic management system with the following restrictions:-
· Traffic will not be able to access Wrexham Town Centre directly from the A483 North bound carriageway.
· Traffic will not be able to access A483 South bound carriageway directly from A541 Gwersyllt.
· Traffic will not be able to access A483 North bound carriageway directly from A541 Wrexham town centre.
· A 20mph speed restriction will apply through the works.
· Summerhill Road will be one way towards Summerhill
Every effort will be made to accelerate the work and bring forward the estimated end date.
Scheme information and advance notice signs will be provided.
Pedestrian and cyclist (dismounted) access will be diverted over the south bridge.
The North Wales Trunk Road Agency and the Welsh Assembly Government regret any inconvenience caused to the travelling public, local residents and businesses whilst these works are being carried out.
